How to get full control of the inverter if installer not available?
Introduction
The article provides a step-by-step guide for owners to regain control of their solar inverter if the installer is unavailable. It outlines procedures for both scenarios: when the owner still has access to their FusionSolar account and when they don't. It includes steps for unbinding/deleting devices, deleting the owner account, and contacting Huawei support for device deletion, along with the required evidence for verification.
Prerequisites
- you have the latest Fusion Solar APP installed
Procedure
There are two possible situations.
Situation 1: The installer is not available and the owner still has a FusionSolar owner account |
Step 1: The owner finds a new installer. The website can support the owner in finding a nearby installer.
Step 2: The owner unbinds or deletes the device from a current plant with the owner's account.
- Login to the FusionSolar APP with the owner account.

Go to Me>Plant Management, and then click the plant, choose Add device, then click the delete icon behind the device, and unbind or delete the deviceNOTE:
The action permanently deletes devices bound to the plant and the data of the devices registered on the FusionSolar Server.
Step 3: The owner deletes the owner's account.
- Login to the FusionSolar APP with the owner's account.

Click Me>Settings>Account Deletion, and then read the notice, agree on it, and delete the account.
Step 4: The new installer commissions the device and creates another plant and owner account.
Situation 2: The installer is not available and the owner does not have a FusionSolar owner account |
Step 1: The owner finds a new installer. The website can support the owner in finding a nearby installer.
Step 2: The owner sends a request to eu_inverter_support@huawei.com with one of the pieces of evidence below which proves that he/she owns the device.
- The invoice of the inverter and the picture with the device SN. The invoice depends on the installer, so there is no standard format, as long as the invoice has the information that the owner bought the device is ok.
- Log in to the inverter locally and get the screenshot with the device SN
NOTE:
Before connecting to the inverter, disable WiFi and mobile network internet connection on your phone. - In the main interface, In the upper-right corner of the home screen, choose > About and then get a screenshot.
Step 3: Huawei supports deleting the device from the current plant.
Step 4: New installer commissioning the device and create another plant and owner account.
