This article describes the steps in order to share the mobile data from a 4G SIM Card inside Smart Logger 3000, to other devices through WAN or LAN port. Please note that the Smart Logger cannot behave like a wireless router. Only Ethernet cable connection is supported.
Step 1 - Check your Smart Logger 3000 software version
This feature is available for the software versions equal with or later than -SmartLoggerV300R001C00SPC040.
Step 2 – Insert the SIM Card in a mobile phone and activate the Internet subscription
Check using a mobile phone if you can access the Internet using the mobile data from the SIM Card.
Using the mobile phone set a PIN code for SIM or Disable PIN security.
Step 3 – Insert the SIM card in the Smart Logger SIM Slot
1 – 4G LED indicator
2 – SIM Card
Step 4 – Enter the PIN code of the SIM card (if the SIM has a PIN)
Step 5 – Set APN Mode to Automatic
Step 6 – Check the mobile data status
Step 7 – Set the Mobile network sharing to Enable
Step 8 – Set the mobile network shared port
This port define where the cable for third party devices should be connected in order to use the Smart Logger Internet. Set to WAN or LAN port (WAN Port Recommended).
Step 9 – Submit the settings am been aware of the vulnerability of Cyber-attacks by using this function
Step 10 – Check the Smart Logger LAN or WAN port parameters in order to configure the third-party devices that should be connected to it.

Step 11 – Connect the cable between the third-party device and Smart Logger and configure the TCP/IPv4 parameters of that device to be in the same range as the Smart Logger port. After this step, the Internet will be available.
