How to use DO Alarm Outputs

The Smart Logger has digital output (DO) pins that can be used for turn ON/OFF external devices.

The DO port supports a maximum of 12 V signal voltage. The NC/COM is a normally closed contact, while the NO/COM is a normally open contact. It is recommended that the signal transmission distance be less than or equal to 10 m.

Prerequisites

• You have logged in to the WebUI.

Procedure

1. Connect the DO signal cable
   
   
   
   
2. Setup the desired output mode of the relay to Open or Close > Submit
   
   
3. Click on the double arrows icon and configure alarms that can trigger the DO relay. If the relay was open in the normal state, it will be closed when the alarm occur and vice versa.
   NOTE:
   Relay dry contact output ports support only 12 V, 0.5 A signal voltage, so you can't use it to connect load directly.
