Export limit for SUN2000 inverters using FusionSolar app
This document describes the steps to be taken to set the export limit for SUN2000 inverters.
Prerequisites :
- It is mandatory to connect the Smart Meter to the COM port of the inverter.
- Add the smart meter to the inverter menu via the FusionSolar application (Device Maintenance > Add Device > Select a supported power meter from the list ( only certain smart meters can be used in the export restriction scenario ) - you can find the compatibility between inverters and smart meters in the last pages of this document.
Step 1:
Log in using the Fusion Solar application as Installer (default password is 00000a ) >Power Adjustmenttab >Grid-tied point control:
Step 2:
Grid-tied point control > Active Power > Control Mode > Select the control mode based on the limit requested by the grid operator:
- Unlimited - The output power of the inverter is not limited. The inverter can export unlimited power to the grid.
- Grid connected with zero power - The output power of the inverter is supplied only to the local load, but not to the grid.
- The inverter provides limited power based on the Maximum grid feed-in power setting for the grid
Closed-loop controller:
- if there is only one SUN2000 in the installation, set the closed-loop controller to Inverter only .
- if multiple SUN2000s are cascaded, set this parameter to S-Dongle/Smartlogger .
Restriction mode:
- Total power - limits the total input power based on all phases combined, meaning the total production minus the combined consumption.
- Single-phase Power - will be limited to 1/3 of the configured space limit, which means that the input power is the sum of the output minus the consumption of each phase.
